KINETA SURVEY, Total station adalah instrumen optis/elektronik yang digunakan dalam pemetaan dan konstruksi bangunan. Total station merupakan teodolit terintegrasi dengan komponen pengukur jarak elektronik (electronic distance meter (EDM)) untuk membaca jarak dan kemiringan dari instrumen ke titik tertentu.

Secara sederhana total station (TS) adalah gabungan kemampuan antara theodolit elektronik dengan alat pengukur jarak elektronik dan pencatat data elektronik. Alat ini dapat membaca dan mencatat sudut horisontal dan vertikal bersama-sama dengan jarak miringnya.

Apa kegunaan Total Station?

Aplikasi Total Station

Total station banyak digunakan dalam pemetaan lahan, seperti pemetaan topografi untuk konstruksi jalan dan bangunan. Total station juga digunakan di situs arkeologi untuk mengukur kedalaman penggalian, dan oleh kepolisian untuk melakukan investigasi tempat kejadian perkara.

1.Pertambangan

Total station banyak digunakan dalam pemetaan kawasan pertambangan. Teknologi ini dapat digunakan di dalam tambang tertutup untuk mengukur kedalaman dan jarak tambang dari permukaan dan mulut tambang, juga kedalaman penggalian pada tambang terbuka.

2.Konstruksi

Total station yang digunakan dalam bidang konstruksi umumnya untuk melakukan pengukuran lokasi pembangunan sebelum dilakukan perataan tanah dan peletakan pondasi, juga mengukur tingkat kemiringan dan kerataan lantai yang dikehendaki serta posisi bangunan tertentu terhadap bangunan lainnya. Selain itu, pemasangan perpipaan dan kabel juga membutuhkan teknologi ini; terutama perpipaan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pemompaan fluida.
